Wu Wei is the art of aware inner silence; acting in a subtle, hardly noticeable, non-forcing way. When I first began to facilitate workshops, I would see before me the whole group in one collection. After some years I no longer saw this collection, I saw the distinctions. But now, I see not just with the eye, my whole being apprehends.
The spirit free to work without plan follows its own instinct. Guided by natural rhythm, by the secret dynamic, the hidden space; the flow finds its own way. I challenge neither obstacles nor resistance. True, there are sometimes tough issues. I feel them coming, I slow down, I watch closely, barely say a word, and whomp! the struggle falls away. Then I remain still and let the joy of the work sink into my being.
