Resonance: the activation of Unity Consciousness
The relationship between the individual and the collective is a fundamental
building block of community. The success of this relationship depends
on mutually empowering communication skills. All current tiers of
government display the inadequacies of adversarial decision-making
systems, and usually they involve pyramidal power structures. Furthermore
the dominant party system is a hotbed for political corruption fuelled
by factional and commercial interests through the influence of their
lobby groups. These systemic problems create division and dysfunctional
relationships between competing individuals and organizations that
destroy community values. The relationship between the individual
and the collective begins in family dynamics, and so the individuals
ability to communicate is imprinted by the nature of childhood conditioning.
This then percolates through to the institutionalised roles and relationships
in adult life. Therefore the resolution of the balance of power between
individuals during organised activities is crucial to the success
of all human endeavours. It can be represented as the function of
unity within diversity, and is causal in all political relationships.
Human
beings are social animals due to needs such as companionship and protection.
The bond between parents and their children compose the basic ingredients
of family life. But before we consider the function of relationships
in any meaningful examination, we must understand something of the
nature of individual consciousness. For simplification, the tools
of cognitive awareness can be divided into thinking (masculine) and
feeling (feminine) components; somewhat connected to respective left
and right human brain functions. Cognitive dissonance is defined by
The Macquarie Dictionary as an inconsistency between the different
ideas and beliefs that a person holds, leading to a feeling of discomfort
or anxiety. These self-limiting imprints affect not just the conscious
mind, but also deeply impregnate a persons unconscious perception
epitomised by their up welling emotional relationship issues. So a
process of self-enquiry must compliment any serious attempt at relating
to others to the extent of consensus decision-making. Consciousness
could be described as the energy of present awareness, and is also
the medium behind all other interpersonal exchanges. Energy originates
the multitudinous expression of the myriad forms of existence. Since
energy cannot be created or destroyed, it is the ground of being and
the currency of life itself.
Any
political movement has at its inception the need for common agreements.
Adversarial democracy and party politics demand a fundamental allegiance
to causes that may be translated into laws of governance. The British
Westminster system has served as the basis for evolving representative
governments. Consensus represents a new paradigm of unity within diversity
that recognises peoples human rights while enabling individuals
to embrace their communities as the collective expression of unity.
This evolution of the body politic requires that the sum of individual
aspirations has risen from dissonance through to the frequency of
resonance. This assumes that there is an underlying desire that proves
the theory that like attracts like, and is the basis for evolving
political movements. It is as if the ground of being is empowering
humanity to co-create a consciousness wave in the same way that energy
creates the fundamental building blocks of form. At this frequency,
or dimension of consciousness, mankind is actually acting synchronistically
with the power of creation itself.
Resonance
is then the ground on which a new civilisation can evolve without
the destructive influences of conditioned dysfunctional agreements
that serve to enslave the individual through the power of the collective.
It is the resolution of the competing archetypes of desire (the individual)
and love (the collective). It also allows individuals to resolve their
truth (personal perspective) with their power (united aspiration)
as archetypes to build community.
The
resonating archetypes of desire, love, truth, and power represent
the four cornerstones of a healthy and whole human society where the
personal inner landscape is reflected in the body politic. This suggests
that there is indeed an innate order to the universe that weaves all
the spontaneous strands of individuality into a common thread while
enabling every person to enjoy a marriage of freedom and love. In
this way consensus is not just an agreement to agree for the betterment
of the collective, it is the manifestation of a new field of unity
consciousness.
The
question that now begs is how do humans co-create the most conducive
environment for resonant consensus? One of the fundamental difficulties
of the contemporary drive towards globalisation is loss of identity,
and disenabling of autonomy in local government, where the people
aspire to a sustainable environment for common healthy creative endeavours.
So the same need for resonance applies all the way form the individual
to the family, the local to national government, and all the way to
a potential world government that respects the freedom of individual
enterprise as long as it is not in conflict with the worlds
natural environment.
It
is said that in a natural environment indigenous peoples saw the external
world, and everything in it, as aspects of themselves. This is a fundamental
tenet of consciousness; that the whole always contrives to care for
the sum of its parts. In fact its very existence constitutes the recognition
that wholeness is the hub around which everything turns. It is the
expression of a realm of infinite potential that exists at its core.
It can be likened to the rainbow serpent in aboriginal lore and the
oroborus in the Celtic tradition, both of which can be represented
as snakes swallowing their own tales. These ancient symbols are a
subliminal suggestion that a wholesome self-awareness is the key to
an organisms health. It also suggests that humans need to climb
out of a linear understanding of time and space dimensions by embracing
an unlimited resonance at their most intimate core. In other words
humans are being asked to transcend all that binds them to form on
the treadmill of time and encompass their immortal aspects of being
by belonging to a greater whole. This does not mean abrogating personal
responsibility to a belief system, but to taste the very fruit of
resonance as the key to wholeness.
Part 1
Resonance: an energetic view
Resonant
(Macquarie Dictionary) is defined as resounding or echoing, deep and
full of resonance, having the property of increasing the intensity
of sound by sympathetic vibration. The contemporary use of the word
relates to people attracting each other in what can be described as
alchemical atonement. This relates to the empathetic joining of opposites
by a process of resolving the inherent separation of dualistic thinking
and its propensity to make judgements. Here the nature of energy is
crucial to our understanding of the dynamics of creative relationships.
We encounter the as above, so below principle that dictates that the
energies of the macrocosm reflect those of the microcosm through all
frequencies and dimensions. In the macrocosm we can see this in the
spiral shape of our Milky Way galaxy. It is as if there are two energies,
one emanating and expanding from its centre via the arms, and a potentially
equal and opposing force that pulls matter back towards its centre
(where there may be a black hole). These resonant but competing energies
are mirrored on planet Earth in the Coriolis effect. Relating to the
wobble of the Earths axis, this force causes water to behave
in different ways in each hemisphere. It relates visibly to the way
water will disappear down the plug (here acting like a black hole)
clockwise in the Northern and anti-clockwise in the Southern hemispheres.
In the same way, it also dictates the way vines will climb trees.
This belies the same resonant forces dancing between hemispheres.
It is helpful to see the Northern clockwise rotation as holding a
masculine energy, and the Southern anti-clockwise rotation as feminine.
These apparent polarities explain why the Northern hemisphere has
historically (since patriarchal systems became dominant) been the
birthplace of the industrial and technological cultures whereas the
Southern continents have tended to cradle tribal indigenous culture
until the onslaught of colonialism from the North. Furthermore we
can see that the existing paradigms of commerce and politics have
originated in the North.
It
is also crucial to an understanding of the play of energy to look
at the way cyclonic storms behave on the surface of the oceans. When
we see waves crashing on a beach we are seeing the latent effect of
revolving weather systems, and their accompanying winds. A force is
created that spreads out across the oceans surface, and this
energy is physically visible as wave action. When we look at waves
moving towards a beach we sometimes forget the overall perspective
that waves do not actually travel all the way across oceans via storm
surges, but merely represent the latent energy that spreads out; rather
like when a stone is dropped into a still pond.
This
is fundamental to the way we may misunderstand the nature of form,
suffering from a kind of perspectivitis (sic) whereby we miss the
underlying forces that dictate the way energy behaves when it interacts
with matter. The question is how do these forces relate to resonance
and human relationships, and how can we harness them in a harmonious
way? Note that words like resonance and harmony refer to the underlying
forces at play. Energy, which is perceived as light, travels in light
and sound waves at different speeds or frequencies. It is these very
waves that we must harness, much as a surfer rides the ocean waves,
to achieve resonance. The only thing that separates us is when we
are out of time or rhyme, and so subject to unbalanced and competing
forces.
It
is also important to notice the multiplication and division of spheres
create the way matter evolves. Again, as above so below, stars, planets,
cells, and atoms and all matter from the cosmic to the subatomic evolve
form by that same principle. Spheres birth other spheres by a process
of sacred geometry that multiply or divide in matrices that are formulated
through patterns called platonic solids. These five fundamentally
perfect shapes fit exactly into a sphere, and as such are pre-sexual
platonic energies before a sphere starts to evolve matter. We dont
need to comprehend the dynamics of creation to consciously tap into
its power, but we do need to learn how to surf the wave, so to speak.
Remember that however long people have practiced to learn surfing
skills, in the end surfing depends on the one ability to surrender
to the latent power of a waveform.
Now
for politics to evolve as an expression of unity consciousness, it
is necessary to harness the internal laws of resonance. This internal
law will bequeath the law or lores by which our societies will evolve
harmoniously. Human beings are an expression of these universal forces,
just like all the rest of matter. The hidden energies that power creation
are given expression, and their highest potential of self-reflection
in human consciousness. So here is the beginning of the relationship
between the unseen energies (or waves) coalescing into waveforms as
matter being mirrored by the relative functioning of both the unconscious
and conscious mind. It is very easy to form opinions and judgements
based on what can be easily perceived in the outside world, but when
it comes to understanding how consciousness unfolds within the human
psyche, people need to harness both the seen and unseen aspects of
their potential awareness.
Part
2
Resonance: a Cosmological View
The
conscious and unconscious aspects of mind act as the aforementioned
tools of cognitive awareness, divided into thinking (masculine) and
feeling (feminine) components; somewhat connected to respective left
and right human brain functions. Humanity is literally divided against
itself while these dimensions of conscious awareness are not reconciled.
Any group process for reaching consensus needs to recognise all the
functions of awareness. Since the group, however intimate in size,
is a reflection of the combination of every individual participants
awareness, groups must be coordinated in such a way that maximizes
the potential of resonance.
Before
we consider optimum group meeting arrangements, one more contextual
overview of humanitys psychic environment requires consideration.
To do this an archetypal cosmological view is useful to simplify the
seen and unseen forces at play, so that a sphere of influence can
be co-created by meeting participants. (see diagram, Figure 1)
Imagine
the universe was created when the original One split into a masculine
and feminine consciousness so that it could experience itself through
the reflective power of relationship. (The author wishes to give the
highest acknowledgement to two books The Right Use of Will series
by Ceanne de Rohan and especially The Pyramid of Life by Alistair
Smith.) Imagine that the original One wanted to feel special by relating
through the two halves of Itself as equals. Now, this is a long story
that Alistair Smith has wonderfully chronicled, and it suffices to
say here that things did not express as smoothly as one may have imagined.
There was simply no precedent for such an inception of creation, and
the first Him and Her separated due to the influence of the first
emotional energies of terror and rage. You could say that basically
He did not like the ramifications of leaving the original One to journey
with Her through a portal into the first Creation. In addition, He
loved Her dearly but the suggestion of separate identities filled
Him with anxiety, even though She was excited about the future possibilities
of assuming form! After much angst the first NO reverberated through
the fledgling universe and this negative energy was blown through
the portal into the creation realms. Surprisingly perhaps, the original
One was delighted about this event because it showed the Hes
deep love for the One and the She, and more importantly still showed
that the He was beginning to empower Himself in the new dualistic
creation.
Later,
there was more confusion as their growing intimacy led the He and
She to argue over the desire to reproduce. At one point He pushed
their offspring back into Her womb because the new energies were affecting
their intimacy. She then resorted to an explosion of rage that resounded
through the portal and rent the new Universe. These emotional energies
can be seen as powerful thought streams that reached out to the extremities
of the evolving realms. The trauma of these experiences caused the
next mutation where the He split into the Father and Son, and the
She split into the Mother and Daughter. Eventually these four archetypes
became the cornerstones of the new Creation and 12 children or Essences
were born within this context.
Without
duplicating any more here, a full explanation of the 12 Essences will
be provided at a later time by reading Alistairs Pyramid of
Life book. For now, it is important that we understand that our universe
is inhabited by similar Essences or thought streams. In a sense this
is what is meant by the unseen, because the influence of these primal
energies is affected to the degree that human beings deny the aspects
of their inner landscapes. In the contemporary world of spiritual
processes and self-improvement, the significance of the unseen is
diminished by our individual denials. People often spend much time
meditating or developing an awareness of conscious presence or alternatively
spend years in therapy to try to fathom their emotional landscape,
but either activity is likely to split the psyche and leave them inwardly
(and outwardly) divided. In other words one side of the brain tends
to fall out of communication with the other causing psychic imbalances.
It is particularly common, in our fast tracked modern world of consumerism,
to inadvertently suppress emotions for long periods, the degree affecting
the severity of resulting disease. The extent of integration that
is required to bring the brain into balance is often fundamentally
misunderstood. Not only do relationships serve to be a reflection
for unresolved emotional and cognitive problems; there are much wider
ramifications for our unconsciousness. Not only do we live in a modern
technological world with many mediums for communication, but each
one of us individually is a medium for the mass consciousness of humanity
(which plagues our everyday thinking) and even the denials and thought
streams of other realms aforementioned which trickle down to the frequency
of this physical planet! In some ways we carry the burden of everything
that has occurred since the beginning of time. It must be assumed
that most of us have a
Linear
interpretation of time and space that is only now being challenged
by Quantum
Physics. In fact we live in parallel dimensions or universes, and
only through our potential psychic abilities have we yet just begun
to integrate them.
Resonance:
a meeting process for reaching Consensus
1.
Seating Arrangement
It is highly desirable to have participants sitting in a circle. This
circle is a representation of Diagram 1, the Circle of the Essences.
But this drawing is only two-dimensional drawing and needs to be thought
of as a Sphere. Because of the multi-dimensional nature of our consciousness
with aspects existing in different dimensional frequencies, the most
appropriate term for such a meeting is Atma-Sphere (see http://www.byronevents.net/atmasphere/).
These spheres of potentially political influence are an evolution
of the circles that our indigenous forefathers and mothers created
for councils and counseling (Atma means Soul in Sanskrit, that part
of us that is the meeting of different dimensions, or parallel lifetimes).
They provide a safe space at the heart of true community where men
and women can hold a compassionate space for each other to go deeply
into original feelings that underlie all of creation. They offer a
portal for healing where we can access the fragments of ourselves
buried at our innermost core, our unconscious and unseen aspects that
we need to uncover to reach our true potential.
The
circular seating arrangement helps to preserve a level playing field
where the participants move beyond hierarchical relationships. Because
of the intimacy, and authentic personal disclosure, necessary to achieve
resonant consensus it is necessary to limit the size of these groups
to ideally 12 men and women. Bear in mind that consensus decisions
will also be developed over the internet, so the networking of the
work of an unlimited number of small groups can be realized in making
consensus decisions (In the Byron Shire see http://www.1062.org/ and
enter Cocreators as the organization after registering). In this way
numbers of individuals come together intimately to form what could
be called a consciousness wave. This structure of resonating spheres
further enlarges the field of unity consciousness to encompass larger
communities that need to make political decisions.
2. Roles within small groups
It is important that at this stage of the consensus process (small
groups) participants live as much as possible in each moment without
attachment to any role. Of course different individuals may play roles
within the group, but the only necessary formal role is that of facilitator,
and even that can be passed around in the process of processing issues
and proposals.
3. Processes to deepen communication
These processes constitute the heart of resonant consensus. While
there are specific methods (that the author recommends) to deepen
the process of introspection, the facilitator must solicit the help
of the rest of the group in deciding the agenda for each meeting.
It is preferable that the inner processes and the outer guidelines
for reaching consensus (available on request) are both included for
each meeting, and it especially beneficial to encourage resonance
by commencing with an inner process. Here are four essential cornerstones
to provide a foundation for conscious resonance:
Meditation
A process for co-creating present awareness by which individuals deepen
their awareness by stilling their mind in their life force, and use
their inner senses to create a witnessing presence.
Focusing on feelings
A process that helps each individual to develop an inner relationship
with aspects of their unconscious that arise as emotions or feeling
states. People are encouraged to adopt an attitude of focused indifference
so that feelings (eg anger or sadness) are not judged as positive
or negative (light or dark energies), but are approached with an attitude
of acceptance. This process is often better done in pairs with one
person assisting another to form an open inner relationship that goes
down through layers of images and feelings to discover innocence and
wisdom at their core
The
first two processes are very complimentary in that there is a relationship
forming between peoples witnessing presence, and aspects of themselves
that they need to integrate for make themselves whole (healed), thereby
reaching a state of empowerment.
The use of sound to co-create resonance
Resonance involves both the light of consciousness as well as energetic
sounding to reach harmony. The use of toning including the use of
harmonics is particular useful for moving emotions and energies stuck
in the unconscious. There are distinct limitations in the use of any
language that is by nature conceptual. We can only really communicate
at depths of common understanding, otherwise individuals have no common
reference point. Sound helps express feelings in a field of unification
that transcends language.
Compassionate Communication
Especially use in times of personal conflicts, the four components
of empathic communication are clear expression by clear observations
of what has occurred (not interpretations), using feeling words to
own ones feelings, identifying basic universal needs, and making
doable requests of ourselves and each other.
4. Understanding how to integrate the Essences, and acknowledging
which ones individuals carry.
The diagram of the Pyramid of Life suggests how we may begin to identify
our personal gifts within the total scope of human consciousness.
The more we experience the fruits of resonant consensus, the more
we will individually integrate the Essences within us, regardless
of our gender. By staying as closely as possible in each moment with
awareness we begin to master an agenderless agenda (sic). As the group
harmonizes by reaching resonant consensus, we can picture the essences
spiraling upwards (remember this is the nature of energy through waveforms)
to form the apex of an energetic pyramid (the diagram shows the base
of the pyramid looking down). By uniting the seen with the unseen
in ourselves we are effectively uniting the hemispheres of the Atma-Sphere,
one half above ground level and the other inverted underneath the
ground (base to base). In total this makes for a complete sphere with
an octagon within it. This is one of the Platonic Solids that optimize
the frequencies of this physical dimension, and when integrated helps
open the doors of perception of other frequencies or dimensions. As
each member of a group moves into resonance, they take their integrated
place in the circle, and can be visualized as being connected to the
hub of the Atma-Sphere by spokes as on a bicycle wheel. In this way
each member becomes a spokesperson for the highest consciousness epitomized
by the centre of a Sphere of Influence.
