Hi Everyone,

It is not easy to live passionately in a world so full of separation, hidden agendas, and security obsessed selfishness. Our lives can get very busy and apart from social events, there is often a lack of mutually supportive and trustworthy company. On top of this the planet, nature itself, threatens to engulf us all in a tide of catastrophes resulting from our collective greediness. In an age of encroaching insecurity there may be a tendency for us to withdraw through a desire for safety. But what if there was a way to find compassion and unity in the face of impending adversity?

In spite of the presently privileged and laid back lifestyle that we have in Australia, I am drawn to prepare for any possible future challenges by joining with other men and women to co-create an atmosphere of mutual healing and empowerment. I firmly believe that we need to co-create a conducive environment to experience honest authentic communication towards building the heart of true community.

I have been trying out new ways of gathering over the last few years. I am now confident we can work together to uncover a renewed sense of cooperation and belonging, even a sense of soul family, to compliment our friendships and nuclear family ties.

So here goes.... With great excitement I offer (to those of you who live here)....

An Invitation to weekly Atma-Sphere Groups in the Byron Shire

What are Atma-Sphere groups?

Atma-Sphere groups are an evolution of the circles that our indigenous forefathers and mothers created for councils and counselling (Atma means Soul in Sanskrit). They provide a safe space at the heart of true community where men and women can hold a compassionate space for each other to go deeply into original feelings that underlie all of creation. They offer a portal for healing where we can access the fragments of ourselves buried at our innermost core, our unconscious and unseen aspects that we need to uncover to reach our true potential.

My personal perspective and offering to these groups involves facilitating an inner sense of stillness, presence, and being. By deepening our personal equanimity and present awareness, we can create an inner relationship to safely explore emotions, release blockages and uncover denials that subconsciously sabotage us. It becomes possible to shine the light of consciousness into our darkest inner spaces, and to give new life to parts of us that need acceptance. I also explore the use of sound as a tool to heal by moving energy blockages. The masculine and feminine aspects of consciousness can also be reconciled by acknowledging our thoughts and visions as well as our feelings and intuition. This helps us move beyond the hierarchical and patriarchal nature of contemporary relationships. In this way our individual wholeness evolves along with a deeper sense of interconnectedness.

How are they facilitated?

Atma-Spheres encourage us to move beyond teacher/student relationships while acknowledging each persons unique perspective. No one person leads the group and anyone can facilitate processes which contribute to the group unfolding awareness. We may all play roles without becoming attached to leadership or authority within the group. The group processes may also evolve spontaneously through the group’s own inner guidance and consensus.

What is the purpose of Atma-Sphere groups?

Although the groups contribute to increased personal awareness and improved communication skills, co-creating soul resonance and community has the potential to empower activities towards evolutionary endeavour within the wider community. This may include any activity towards educational, political, environmental progress or any other field of humanitarian creativity. The group processes also offer the potential to deepen our capacity for intuitive inventiveness in a rapidly changing world. Atma-Sphere is a frequency that seeks to return us to our Collective Sovereignty by allowing us to co-create an agenderless* agenda. Some of the immediate aims of Atma-Sphere groups, as an expression of group consciousness, are:

- To embrace being as an expression of the source by which we all arise through an intimate knowledge of ourselves.

- To alchemise passion into compassion by accepting all feeling expressions as threads in the fabric of our inner landscape, the totality of which has no selfish agenda, and to find existence without need, love without conditions.

- To know others as a reflection of self, and to meet them on a level playing field.

- To become response-able by learning focused indifference, opening us to the possibility of our full potential as expressions of one innate consciousness.

- To foster self-empowerment as a catalyst towards embracing our individual impulse to express our unique qualities as part of the mandala of creation.

- To germinate a culture that embraces leadership as the ability to mirror each other’s true potential.

- To create a template for a new paradigm of civilisation that facilitates the potential of collective intelligence through networks of intimate groups of awakening individuals.

* “Agenderless” in the sense that individuals learn to balance their thinking (masculine) and feeling (feminine) sides.

How do the groups help co-creation of a safe environment for individual evolution?

While encouraging a spirit of free flowing communication beyond the restraints of social niceties, we agree to use (and learn) the principles of compassionate communication if conflict between individuals arises. We agree to not “fix”, heal or interrupt another person without asking for permission. We also agree to use discretion about maintaining confidentiality where it is appropriate. We encourage any process which contributes to the well-being of the group, but do not subscribe exclusively to any particular spiritual path or religious dogma. In general we do not hold onto any unequivocal view of right or wrong, but only what’s appropriate in the now; just the right thing in the right place and at the right time.
